      (Regional workshop and jazz session)

The University’s Music Directorate is delighted to host for the third year in succession, The British Trombone Society’s Annual Regional workshop. With its growing popularity the BTS is keen to welcome as many soloists and ensembles as possible to what promises to be a fantastic day for all brass enthusiasts whether performing or just supporting. The day will include a number of workshops, master-classes and performances by BTS President Brett Baker, undergraduate students and a number of well known professional musicians.
This year the day will conclude at the Pint Pot function room with an informal jazz session led by international trombonist and band-leading legend, Jiggs Whigham. Also featured are other prominent North of England jazz trombone players such as Lee Hallam and Duncan Winfield accompanied by the Robin Dewhurst trio.
