The BTM Band's 10 piece outfit "That's Brass" has been asked to play at all the home games for Wales for the coming Six Nations Rugby tournament.

The band have been selected to play in the stands of every Welsh home game (against Scotland, Italy and France). The band will be there for the sole purpose of getting the crowd right behind the Welsh team. Each member will be 'kitted out' by the bands sponsors for the tournament Reebok, and the members will also be introduced to Steve Hansen!.

Fantastic news :D :D . Hopefully Wales will win the tournament this year!!!
Has Dave Stowell done his flash (and brilliant!) arrangement of the National Anthem (English that is!) with you? Did that when he was conducting my local orchestra.

    National anthem

Yes, we played David's flash arrangement of the National Anthem that finished with a hint of the Welsh anthem at Pontins a few years ago, the audience did not know where to stand up, it was really funny. Unfortunately we played quite well on Ballet for Band but got a bad result and don't think the adjudicators were amused by our version of the National Anthem!!

As for cheering for Scotland, well, I have been told for the sake of the band to control myself if Scotland score a try!!!!!!! This is a big scoop for the band and I wouldn't want to jeopodise it. I suppose I have been down here 10 years now so it's not too bad, may the best team win!!!

Ann Robinson: "what letter of the alphabet does the instrument euphonium begin with

    Contestant: "ummmmm, X"
