It is with mixed feelings that I announce I have banned the bouncy one (Vickitorious for those of you who are not sure ;)) from bouncing!!! :bounce:bounce

Tonight, she bounced her way down the stairs and on the bottom stair bounced so high, she head butted the light shade. It came back down with such force it pulled itself right off the cable and came crashing to the floor!!

I am now left with one broken glass lamp shade and a set of bare wires hanging from the ceiling. :ranting2::evil:

I think she is referring to the bouncy one as Vic!!

Seems like she bounced a tad too high eh!

How long is the ban for Di?

Ooh that's unlucky! But if you're thinking about replacing the shade then there are some nice ads at the bottom for you to browse!

Hmm, we have L shaped lounge through dining room, three matching shades, and matching shade on landing. Fortunately only one panel was completely shattered, MIGHT be able to glue/grip one in position (can you get glue for glass and metal), then place the damaged one at the back of the dining room with missing panel facing out to the back garden, no one will ever know

Yup, thats right, thanks John. I thought everyone recognised Vic as the "bouncy one". ;)

How long? Haven't decided yet, but I don't suppose she can be held down for long, she might bust a spring.

Diane, you could be missing a trick here. Now one of the matching shades is broken the whole lot will have to go and you will be forced to redecorate the entire house and blame it all on the young one. Hubby will be pleased!!!!

p.s do you need public liability insurance to take her out the house?

Something similar happened to my girlfriend a few days ago. She wasn't bouncing mind, but tried to swat a moth and the lamp shade was released from its moorings and suffered from the subsequent gravitational pull.....(i.e. it broke loose and fell on the damn floor!)

Quite clearly a case of the lamp shade being mounted in a dangerous and irresponsible position likely to cause injury and distress to bouncing Tiggers.

I'd drag her in to that Court Vic, it's an open and shut case!! ;)

Damages, damages and more damages!! ££££££££££ Cher-Chiiiiiiiing!!!! ££££££££££

I'd have thought there'd been enough damages already with the broken light fitting :!:  ;)
