Press Release Brass Band Workshops With Andy Duncan This summer, Warner Bros. Publications and IMP will be hosting a series of innovative Brass Band Workshops with leading arranger Andy Duncan. Designed to help conductors and bands alike, the morning of each workshop will feature an open rehearsal with Andy Duncan conducting the band that will be performing at the evening’s concert. Andy will give hints and direction on performance and technique while an audience listens in. In the afternoon there will be a reading session, meet the composer and question and answer session with Andy Duncan and Robin Norman, Warner Bros. Publications Brass Band Editor. This will give attendees the opportunity to discuss arrangements and discuss both Andy’s work and comment on the Warner Bros. Brass Band Catalogue. The evening of each workshop will feature a concert by the Brass Band involved at each workshop, the concert entitled ‘Music Of The Movies’ will feature pieces from The Lord Of The Rings, The Wizard Of Oz, Harry Potter and many more. As well as an exciting and enjoyable day out for Brass Band enthusiasts, the workshops will provide conductors with an opportunity to hear new arrangements of music, at all levels, in their entirety. There will be the opportunity to purchase scores at a special workshop discount and World Of Brass will also be present to support the event and display their CD’s. The Warner Workshops are a must for conductors and bands alike and if successful will become an important part of the Warner Brass Band events catalogue.
