Brass CD Shops (online)

    i know 4br does a lot, but are there any others ?

    I have just down loadeda Grimethorpe CD from Amazon fro £4.50ish
    You can buy the origanals for upwards of £5.50

    It is also worth keeping an eye on e-bay: there are several sellers who concentrate on brass and wind recordings, and there are some unusual items to be picked up, especially from the USA ( even if the exchange rate is less favourable than it was :mad:)

    Not forgetting Chandos who also carry some of the older stuff both on CD and for download.

    It also pays to shop around....for instancea couple of weeks ago, the Fodens New Music for Brass Band was on Amazon for around £8 (it's now £11)....which is somewhat cheaper than the £13.95 (+£2.95 p&p!) it's available for elsewhere. It's also available for download directly from NMC.....

    Obviously, it's fairly easy to look if you know what you're looking for, but browsing can be a PITA.

    The advantage, for me, of Midland CD is that David stocks a very wide catalogue, isn't limited to certain bands or labels and IMO provides very good customer service (and quite often is a bit cheaper).
