I have noticed the new Brass Band world website. I'm a bit disappointed that we have lost the results archive. I used to enjoy looking at results from previous years. Maybe TMP could start the same sort of thing for every contest and previous results so that for years to come we have them to look back at.

Well just to start your results diary, Pennine Brass came 8th in Pontins 2004 and won Whitehaven Contest in 2002.

Just to help you on your way...

Is there a problem with the BBW site at the moment, only I've not be able to connect to it this morning?

For those looking for contest results, www.ibew.co.uk has a fairly comprehensive listing in their "Events" section.

The magazine has been in the new format for the last two issues. There is just a glimmer of hope that it might be a bit more muscular in addressing some issues. This month has Roger Webster giving us his side of the story of his departure, which was not entirely sweetness and light.

On the minus side, no review of the RNCM Festival, although it may have been due to a tight deadline. We shall see in next month's issue.

I've over-written the link and it seems fine now.

I note that the Events Diary has gone as well in the revamp, and I don't find the News pages as user-friendly either.

And very few links to Scottish Bands. I could only find Kirkintilloch in a quick look.
