Led by the young dynamic conductor, Alexander Webb, the Cubbington Silver Band recently returned from the West Midlands Brass Band Contest with a haul of prizes. Playing Paul Lovatt-Cooper's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon', the band was awarded first place in the third section of the competition held at Pershore High School on the 20[SUP]th[/SUP]November 2011. The band also won the highest placed association band for the section. In September at the Wychavon Festival of Brass, the band was awarded third place playing a varied selection of music.

As the band look forward to a busy christmas period, we invite you to our annual Christmas concert, this year to be held at The Methodist Church Hall, Queen Street, Cubbington, CV32 7NA at 2.30pm. Tickets are £4 and £3 for concessions and are available on the door.

There has been a brass band associated with Cubbington since 1887 and the band are always interested in hearing from anyone who feels they can contribute to the band as a player or volunteer. If you are interested in booking the band for an event or want to know where you can hear the band visit or call band secretary Jane Edmonds on 07717 221281.
