Any brass banding freemasons out there ...? If so introduce yourself on this thread ... We can have an 'Unofficial Freemasons Lodge' lol.

Or on a serious note we might discover that fellow brethren with a similar interest (brass banding) and may visit lodges?

I expect that all of these Bandsmen will be pretty good on percussion then; particularly the Tuba" Bells played with a Cane!

Raise your hands boys - a distressing sign!

Not for me either all those ceremonies, responses and counter responses, signs and countersigns, not to mention wearing a white pinnie; and who wants to be involved in any scottish rites anyway?

With the greatest of respect, anyone who goes to a church (especially that wears a uniform) should be very wary of making a statement like the above.

Not ten minutes ago, I very firmly sat on my hands when they wanted to type a response along those lines... I'm still hoping that P_S_Price will turn out to be well aware of that!

Glad to see that Freemasons are as unable to take a Joke as well as anybody else :)

And thats the irony of my post - I already belong to an organisation that "dresses up" and has its own specific rigmarole. Deary me!

And that was why I didn't initially post... ;-)
Irony and sarcasm so often fail to be conveyed adequately over the internet.

[Btw, I'm not in either of the relevant organisations]

I didn't realise irony and sarcasm were that organised...;)

    Anyway - I think we're meandering somewhat...
