The Owen Farr Masterclass, Recital & Concert at the Sheffield Central Library Theatre on Sunday September 4th, was hailed a resounding success by the large enthusiastic audience.

The Masterclass attendees were enthralled as Owen demonstrated a variety of scintillating techniques designed to improve breathing, range and stamina.

During the evening Owen was joined on stage by super septet ‘The Brass Players’ who entertained and enchanted the audience with a wide variety of music, and accompanied Owen during some breathtaking solo playing.

‘Owen, has kicked off what we hope will become a regular series of events of this type, designed to provide entertaining, educational opportunities for players of all ages and abilities, and will feature other famous names from the world of brass,’ said a spokesperson for the organisers.
