    Some of you will know Roland Marshall - Eb bass player formerly with Godalming Band and Runnymede Brass, now living in Kent.

    Roland is due to appear on Mastermind this coming Friday (2nd July) at 9.00 on BBC2, answering questions on his specialist subject: Edward Elgar.

    Tune in and give him a cheer...

    he clearly learnt on cornet, then transfered to bass :wink:

    tuba players possess the same intelligence as Eric Clapton while with Derrick & dominos. We play tuba to keep all u cornet players on ya toes, as we are capable of doing your job better than you!

    When I first came to The Salvation Army, my fellow tuba-player for a while at Balham was studying for his Doctor of Divinity, already holding various legal qualifications. He's just returned to the UK to take up the leadership of The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom Territory :wink:
