[FONT=times new roman, new york, times, serif]The Black Dyke Band is pleased to announce that they will hold an Open Rehearsal of the Nationals test piece, Music For Battle Creek by Philip Sparke, at the Morley Town Hall on Wednesday 17th October 2007 at 7.30pm. The evening will consist of some work by the band on the test piece, followed by a full performance. Before the end of the evening, there will be a short concert comprising the pieces that the band will play at the Royal Albert Hall between the contest and the results. This is sure to be of interest to all those who can not get to the Albert Hall on October 20th and to all who want to hear the test piece before that weekend. This is a free concert and everyone is welcome.

    Welcome to tMP, Mike.
Great to have Black Dyke on here in person as it were.
Will there be a Black Dyke group on Facebook too?

Sounds great - I'll try to make it - I've heard some terrific reports about the piece.
Congrats on your new appointment Mike!
Another transfer from Rothwell to Dyke?!
