This year will see something of an innovation for the band, not one Christmas concert, but two! Firstly, on Thursday 17th December at 8-00pm is the band’s popular annual Christmas concert, at the Railway Club in Hillmorton Road, Rugby, where we present many favourite pieces spiced up with plenty of familiar Christmas carols and cheer. Featured in the concert will be the premiere of “Jack-in-a-Box”, a new Xylophone solo by Paul Lovatt-Cooper, composed specially for the band’s talented young percussionist, 12-year old Jack Fisher. Joining us to make a thoroughly festive night will be the Bilton Training Band Later, our inaugural “Festival of Christmas Music” takes place on Saturday 19th December at 7pm in St Mark’s Church, Bilton. A carol-based family concert, there will be plenty of opportunity to exercise vocal chords as well as listen to the band in a mixture of old and new carol settings. Tickets are £4 (£3 concessions) with a £10 family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) available. Tickets for both events are available from the band (firstname.lastname@example.org) or on the door Thursday 17th December 2009 Christmas Concert, LMRCA (Railway Club) Hillmorton Road, Rugby 8pm Saturday 19th December 2009 Festival of Christmas Music, St Mark's Church, Bilton, Rugby. 7pm.
