    Hi!

I'm looking at getting a Prestige euphoniums and I'm wondering what's the theory behind the differences between the big bell and the small bell model?

I think the bigger bell is to help you get a bigger/ rounder sound, but it takes a little more air to make it work properly (or summin like 'at)

I think the same goes for trombones.

Bigger bell = louder. It allows the amplitude of the wave to be bigger when it leaves the instrument.
