Bestwood Welfare Black Diamonds Celebrate Grant Success

Bestwood Welfare ‘Black Diamonds’ Band who are based in Bestwood Village Nottingham are delighted to announce that they have been successful in their application for a grant from The Grassroots Grant Programme which is administered by the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation.

The band which has been going for over 65 years which was formerly a Coal Mining band received £4945.00 from the foundation which the band will use to purchase new instruments. Receiving this grant will help the band achieve that goal.

The band would like to thank the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation which receives its income from local benefactors, businesses and government agencies in helping us with our project.

To contact Nottinghamshire Community Foundation to make a donation or apply for a grant, call 01623 620202 or email
