Brighouse and Rastrick Band are pleased to announce the release of their latest recording, ‘Best of Brass Volume 2’. The disc follows on from the hugely successful first volume released ten years ago.

The band chose to produce their first ever in house CD without affiliation to a record company and approached Brian Jones and Al McNichol of Westbank and AMC Production to record and engineer the CD which proved to be a successful and enjoyable partnership. Associate conductor Richard Evans led the band thorough the entertaining programme selected from audience favourites. Several items are featured from the 2006 ‘Brass In Concert’ winning programme such as Leigh Baker’s arrangement of ‘Bare Necessities’ and winning march, ‘The New Colonial’. Several of the bands talented soloists are featured; Principal cornet Stephen Wilkinson, Soprano Nigel Fielding, Solo Horn Melvyn Bathgate, Tuba David Hebb and Michael Howley on Euphonium.

The CD is available for a price of £13 plus £1.50 first class P+P by contacting the band at: Brighouse and Rastrick Band – CD Order, West Ridings, Finkil Street, HD6 2NY. Cheques made payable to 'Brighouse & Rastrick Band'. Soon to be available online at
