Besses O' Th' Barn Band are hosting a benefit concert for the Disaster Emergency Committee in aid of Haiti on Saturday 6th February at All Saints Church, Stand, Whitefield. The concert will start at 7.30pm.

Dr Roy Newsome has already donated his services, with more 'big names' to be confirmed in the next few days.

We would like to put on a 'massed band' finale. If any bandsmen or women would like to donate their services for this event, please let me know.

For further information and ticket details, please call band secretary Daisy Johnston on 0161 7235272.

The event was a great success and raised almost £1000.00 for the disaster fund.
Besses fielded their almost complete lineup, currently rehearsing for the Areas and the summer concert season, under new MD Jonathan Lo.
    A great debut for Jonathan.
Praise should also go out to those players that attended the event to join in a Massed Band Finale with Besses under the stick of Dr roy Newsome (Dr Roy also MC'd the night)
It was then off to the pub to celebrate the night and a very promising future for Besses and Jonathan
