Does anyone know how many bands have recorded this piece? I am aware of two recordings-Besses and Sun Life (both conducted by Roy Newsome I believe). Are there others?!

Desford (James Watson) recorded it on their 1989 album called 'Variations'.

.... it was also recorded on Lp by Brighouse (1968; Hargreaves), GUS (Kettering) (unknown date; G. Brand) and Whitburn (no other details known). I'm surprised that I cannot find a recording by CWS (Manchester) who won with it in 1963.

Thanks everybody. I'll have a look for those recordings. So the adjudicators (Steve Sykes and Philip McCann) haven't recorded it then? That's a shame coz I'd love to hear Mr. McCanns interpretation of the cornet solos and cadenza.
