    Hello folks
Any one out there interested in Bands and Bikes?
Thinking about organising a summer run down to Matlock Bath in Derbyshire to meet up , have a brew (or a beer or two) and discuss the finer arts of tuba playing and Bandit Thrashing?
Any one else out there with the privelege of partaking in the two best pastimes on earth?

Dave Harrison, our soprano player at Hadleigh, is a very keen biker - one of his side-lines is riding a motor-cycle/sidecar hearse for bikers' funerals in the area ;)

Yeah half of Wigston are not so secret bikers. They range from plastic fantastic aficionado's to fat boy cruisers. Not a biker myself though - I'd end up doing myself and probably the scenery quite a bit of damage I think  . but if you get anything sorted, let me know and I'll pass the details on to the non-tMPing Wigston members who would be interested.

I'm an ex-biking bandsman - a few years back a boy racer in an Escort totaled the bike, didn't do me much good either... Don't bounce like I did 20-odd years ago

Since then, developed a taste for public transport (and the post-rehearsal beer consumption it allows :guiness:biggrin: )

(PS How do you carry a tuba on a Bandit? Don't you need a BM/Glide/GoldDream?)

Hi , I'm Dave Harrison.I notice i have been posted on tmp, by my friend Peter Bale. We play in Hadleigh Temple S.A band Peter on BBb and me on Sop .I have played Sop for57 yrs .I play with 3 bands at present one being the South London Fellowship Band under B/M Major George Whittingham.
In retirement i ride a Motor Cycle Hearse for Rev Paul Sinclair, the only person in the world that has Motor cycle Hearses. So i am mad about Bikes and Bands. Dave

    Hi Adrian.
To celebrate my 70th Birthday, I fancied a little ride to Lands End, up to John o Groates and back home to Hadleigh Essex where i live with my wife of 47 years, Audrey .I covered 1952 miles in 4and 1/2 days. that was in 2005. Are you Nuts about Bikes? If i am around when the IMPS are playing i will look out for you. Dave Harrison

I ride a Fazer 600 and regularly take my trombone in a gig bag on it. Like the idea of a biking banders ride out but I live in Portsmouth!!
