Beverley Folk Festival welcomes the world famous Brighouse & Rastrick Band back for a second time this June.

The current Brass in Concert and Yorkshire Champions will appear as part of the Beverley Folk Festival in what promises to be a very popular concert, selling out on their previous visit to the festival. Supporting the band will be Beverley’s own Community Choir, which was established by the festival during its 21st Birthday celebrations in 2004.

This will be the bands last concert engagement before they take the stage to compete at the English Nationals at the Preston Guildhall on Saturday 30th June. The set test, Peter Graham’s ‘On Alderley Edge’ is held very close to the bands heart. It is nearly ten years since B&R won the National Championship of Great Britain on this piece at the Albert Hall. They will be hoping to go one place better after coming 2nd in last years inaugural contest.
