Excellent choice of a piece to arrange. But can I ask what made you decide to arrange it for Eb Soprano Cornet? Wouldn't it have been more suited for a 'tenor' instrument, such as Horn? ;)

PS - The link won't let you print the solo part. It just prints blank. Am I doing something wrong?

Sorry, was going to edit previous post, but the option seems to have disappeared!

    Anyway, printing sorted now.

It is a beautiful piece of music Sue, and to be honest I'd not heard of it until earlier this year - Andrea Bocelli CD for my birthday! - In fact I can't believe that it hasn't been arranged for band before.

I'd only listened to the piece once and immediately thought 'Soprano Cornet'. Solo. I don't mind you purchasing a set and trying it out on horn though!

Thanks for the feedback Dave. Hope you enjoy playing the music. The notation at the end is faithful to the original, but I would imagine players who can produce high and quiet notes will probably opt to finish on a top A. On that suggestion I'll look at producing an alternative ending.

Edit: Alternative ending added - :tup

Put a mute in Dave. All I have been able to hear from my house is you playing that solo non stop for the last 2 days!!

Great arrangement though Roger. Might be tempted to give it a crack myself ;)

    Glad i found this piece!

I have been looking for a new solo to play since last summer,

Sequence of events: found this thread, went to listen to the piece, loved it, bought it, registered here to feedback:)

Seriously i rarely listen to a piece first time and think i have to have it, i agree with previous comments that as soon as i heard it i though 'thats a sop solo!'

Thanks everyone for the tip off.
