November sees the launch of an exciting new performing arts educational venture entitled “ArtsPool”.

ArtsPool is a unique organization providing staff support, course development, workshops and performances across Music, Drama, Dance and the Technical Arts. We work across all Key Stages from KS1 to KS5 and provide expert guidance and creative ideas to a wide range of examination courses at GCSE, BTEC and A Level.

Their Pool consists of experienced, specialist performing arts teachers who have taught full time or part time in school and colleges for many years. The Pool includes Heads of Music, Drama and Dance, Directors of Performing Arts from specialist performing arts colleges, Leaders in Production, ASTs, GCSE and A level Examiners and Performing Arts INSET providers as well as teachers who still work closely within the Performing Arts Industry. These teachers work in areas such as street dance, pop videos, contemporary dance platforms, backing vocals, brass bands, rock bands, R&B Bands and recording studios. They can even supply a Morris side if you need one!!

So whether you need someone to deliver a module on lighting and sound, tips on engaging boys in Dance, guidance on setting up a music technology course or your Rock Challenge - or just a hand with extra curricular workshops and performances – they are here to help.

Company Partner Andy Austin says :

“This is a very exciting time for us, our teachers and artists, allowing us to extend our activities across the whole range of Performing Arts in all types and ranges of schools. It is also great to be forging links and working with the talents of the companies and Bands that have become part of our programme.”
