Can anyone suggest an arrangement of Sailing, (the Rod Stewart classic) for brass band? I want to use it at a remembrance concert in November.

    Thank you.

    There's three HERE

I've played the Bryce arrangement and if I remember correctly it isn't that great.

Kevin Bolton did an arrangement that is quite good (although it will throw the audience out in the middle if they sing along) but not sure how widely available that is.

We used to have the Broughton arrangement, unfortunately we were playing it on the Windermere Ferry - and it blew away, never to be seen again.

We use the Frank Bryce arrangement, which is good for me - baritone/euphs have the initial melody - and is quite easy.

But if I remember correctly, the last note takes the cornets out of their normal range, and it can be quite irritating when they mis-tune it!

I know Lydney Band have a copy of the above arrangement.

You could try sending a PM to tMPs very own Sop_or_Bass

It is a very good arrangement

Many thanks for all your help on this. I have been able to get my hands on a couple of arrangements.
