I know this is well to early , but I cant remember when the test pieces were announced last year,

When do we find out the decision of the pieces for each section?

They are always announced around the weekend of the Lower Section Finals in September.

Hmmm. You're the 4th independent person I've heard this particular one from. Wonder what Paddy would offer on it.

My advice: speculate pieces you don't want to play.

Harmony Music has been mentioned quite frequently in the South West. I'll wait for one band in particular to order a top section piece and then we'll know. They had ordered English Heritage about 3 months before the official announcement came last time. Quite what purpose the absurd veil of secrecy serves I've yet to divine. Apart from the entertainment the guessing games provide! We could always use a piece that has been specifically commissioned for a certain band.....

I've heard a few murmors of Harrison's Dream for the top section as well. Thank god I wouldn't be playing it! I really hope Dimensions isn't chosen either!
