Tonight i played one of the most moving pieces i have ever played.
The piece is called "An American elergy" arranged for wind band, composed in memory of thos who lot their lives in the columbine high school on April 20th, 1999 by Frank Ticheli.

Anyway, just wondered if anyone has played it before, or knows if it is available for brass band??

Never had goose-pimples like that while playing before!

There is another american piece called "And time will stand (or it might be "be") no more" that is also very touching. The principal cornet of one of the youth bands in Columbus passed away a week before contest in his sleep. The band set a cornet on the corner with no player there during contest and then later had the piece commisioned. Knowing the story quite well, the piece was very moving for me.
