I was wondering, is there a way to align objects, ie a [code:1:1796632210]
[/code:1:1796632210] tag??? There seems to be versions of most html tags, but not this one, seems strange...

Also, while I'm at it, why does it say "HTML is on" in the corner of post window, under options, but doesn't accept html tages???

The center element was deprecated in HTML 4.01.

The center element is not supported in XHTML 1.0 Strict DTD

You can use the list function in a similar way

    • if you want

      to line up

      a number of items

To explain the html aspect - certain HTML elements only are permitted. This is to avoid the random chaos of some one trying to use "dangerous" elements such as TEXTAREA or malformed HTML

I know, I use css for most of the formatting in my web pages, but just wondered 'cos it works on another forum I'm involved with.

Any mods know whether use of [code:1:01e300cd80]<span>[/code:1:01e300cd80] tag is allowed within posts? that could solve all the formatting issues...???

    <pre>Try this?
Alas the tag parser in phpbb is not intelligent enough to
recognise any attributes on the PRE element,
but it does allow for odd spacing and lining up... </pre>
