Tickets going well. Phone number for Balaams Music is 01284 754324.

The concert will also feature a tribute to the late Sir Malcolm Arnold with performances of his Peterloo Overture and Little Suite for Band No.1.

Heard the band on LTTB on Friday and their new CD. Sounds like a good night and if the band performs as well as it did on the disc it'll be a cracking concert. You should get a great crowd and sorry I can't make it.

What else is on the programme?

Thanks for this. The cd turned out really well and was great fun to do. Waiting to see what 4 bars rest makes of it!

The programme on Saturday includes "A Suffolk Prelude" which was written for us by Andy Duncan and is the title track of the cd. We are including the "Peterloo Overture" and "Little Suite for Brass No. 1" in memory of Malcolm Arnold; Elegy from the Downland Suite, Kyrie from Mozart Requiem, Malaguena, Light Walk, Soul Bossa Nova and a few others that escape me!

Alan Morrison is playing Satchmo, Only Love, Kathryn Louise, Lazy River, Over the Rainbow and Live & Let Die and A Touch of Mancini.

The concert will finish with Procession to the Minster including the Church organ.

Should be an absolutely cracking evening. Can't wait.

Hopefully a few local bands people might swallow their pride and come along to Bury to support another local band. ;)

As I said, sounds like a great night.

For those of you that have not heard Alan play 'Live and Let Die' or 'Over the Rainbow' it'll be worth the ticket price for those two pieces alone !!!!!
