Hi, as you can probably guess from my name im a horn player. I had my tonsils out three weeks ago, and was instructed by my doctor to give my playing a rest for a while. I did this, and a few days ago got my intsrument out for a blow. When i did this i found it really difficult to play, as all the air was just coming out my nose! At this point I started to worry, so i was wondering if anyone out here has had this problem, and whether this is only temporary! Any feedback would be a HUGE help, as Im quite worried about his!
    Thanks, Rach x

Hi Rach and :hi to tMP.

I'll second Will's advice. And I'd also suggest you perhaps take along the horn and demonstrate the problem. It may be that you're just trying to rush things and any swelling left in the throat is causing the air to change direction. Go back and see the doc. I wish you all the best.
