    There's an indian takeaway in Heckmondwike (Hecky Spice as it happens) that has a sign outside advertising the fact that they are purveyors of;

    "Curries, Pizza's, Burgers and Donor :eek: kebabs"!!!!

    What the heck do you get in a donor kebab?!?!?!?

    I can see the Monty Python sketch now....

    "Good evening sir, we've come for your liver......!"

    I can't remember whether I've posted this before, but we used to go to a french pancake house (creperie) near Bond Street - huge range of fillings, both savoury and sweet, and good value for money as well.

    The only problem was, their menu was handwritten, and was not very large, so, in order to save space, instead of "chicken and ratatouille", for example, they put . . . . . . . . . . "chicken and rat." etc :eek:

    More alarmingly, the chinese takeaway round the corner from Hecky Spice, which once was the Rising Sun, briefly became the "Sha Tin" Cantonese takeaway! :eek: :eek:

    It's changed it's name again now tho thank goodness.

    (It must be something in the water in Heckmondwike.)

    Hmmm... I'd double check that chili sauce before you ask them to put a dollop on it......

    In the 1870s a prostitute called Belle Elmore was murdered and her heart, liver and kidneys removed. For some years afterwards to order a mixed grill in fashionable London restaurants you asked for a "Belle Elmore"...

    Useles Fact #372 brough to you by the badger.

    For many years, the Chinese takeaway in Queensbury (Next door to Dyke's bandroom) was called the "Ming Hing"!! :eek:
