Does anyone know if Thomas Rive variations on A Pilgrim song is available anywhere. I assumed it would be on the World of Brass website as its an SA piece but couldn't find it, have tried Just Music but they don't list it either. Any suggestions, or failing that does anyone have a copy they would sell me?
Definitely WoB or SP&S(?). Suggest you contact WoB by 'phone and they will be able to direct you to the right department. Probably sell you an "Authorised Photocopy".
Hiya, I helped polysteel out recently im pretty sure it was played as a trombone solo, ther trombone players sound is lush! Anyway maybe it would be a good idea if you contacted the solo trom or the band and ask them, im sure they would be more than happy to give u help! Hope this has been abit of help!
Thanks Gareth, spot on. We'd like to have all Salvation Army brass band music on the WoB site but have tried to concentrate on the more popular ones so far.
You may be talking about A Pilgrim Prayer (Tchaikovsky arr. Ray Steadman-Allen) perhaps, possibly played by my old mate Nathan Jenkins.
My band have recently been playing 'A Pilgrim's Song' by Tom Rive, great, well written piece if you can get hold of it!
