A Celebration of Brass and Voice
    Romsey Abbey
    17 Sept 7.30pm

The Woodfalls Band will be holding a celebration of brass and voice in the glorious setting of Romsey Abbey on September 17th.

Woodfalls are celebrating a bumper year of competition success including their recent prestigious crowning as the West of England champions. That title sees the Wiltshire based band qualify for the National Championships held at the Royal Albert Hall in October.

And the champion band will be joined by an equally acclaimed choir, Risca’s Male Voice Choir (Cor Meibion Risca). The seventy-strong choir is one of the best in Wales and has picked up many awards in its history including the Male Choir of the Year, the Welsh Choral Challenge shield, the National Eisteddfod, the Bronze Medal from the Malta International Choral Competition, and Male Choir Winners at the International Choir Festival of Jersey.

Woodfalls will perform their highly praised, innovative and award-winning set fresh from their recent competition success that saw the band crowned champions of the Yeovil Entertainment contest and pick up 2nd place at the Butlins Mineworkers entertainment contest. The band’s set features heart-tuggingly beautiful Norwegian music, campfires, mountains, dancing and even comedy bottle blowing! Prepare to be surprised!

And for the finale of our celebration the Risca choir and Woodfalls will join together to fill the Abbey with sounds of brass and voice.

Tickets are £12 for reserved seating or £8 for unreserved and tickets can be purchased from Romsey Tourist Information Centre, 13 Church Street, Romsey, Telephone: 01794 512987
