Hello! I'm a very new-newcomer to this site, having stumbled upon it through my Google searches.
I have been looking for a while now for a 966 Sov euph, as the player I idolise greatly, Morgan Griffiths, swore by them, and apparently, they are a fine instrument for band playing. I was wondering if I could pick your brains on where I might be able to find one for sale? As they seem to be pretty rare now, or maybe another instrument with the same specs.
    Thanks!
    Dan.

    Hi Dan,
You are not the only one I know of looking for one of these! :)
They do come up from time to time but 'look' the same as a 968 with the 11" bell so sometimes people do not realise what they have.

It's driving me mad! Are the 968's similar? Many people have told me to go directly to Band Supplies and ask them, since Morgan owns that shop. :)

No a 966 and 968 are different, from what I know a 966 is similar to the original imperials from the 1970's whereas a 968 is the same bore size as a 967 albeit with a smaller bell.
I am sure i'll quicky get slapped down if wrong!
