I am looking to borrow/hire a 5 octave marimba for the next few days to prepare for the Euro Solo Competition. I'm based in South Wales, but I am prepared to travel to pick up/practice.

Is there by chance anyone on here that owns one, or knows someone who does??

Try the BBC NOW, WNO or you could get in touch with Ev-Entz percussion hire or GBZ percussion hire which are both based in South Wales.

    Good luck.

I believe we may have one.

I couldn't be absolutely sure without checking; a previous percussionist referred to it as a "xylomarimba", explaining that it featured the combined ranges of a marimba and a xylophone, however I don't know how reliable that is.

Also, it's not in very good condition, although as far as I know it's functional. On top of that, Egham isn't very "local" for you, but if you are interested let me know.
