    Congratulations to Hoover Bolton and Chris on winning the third section with Diamond Heritage, best wishes to St. Dennis and Lockwood, comiserations to the other finalists but I hope you enjoyed working on the piece.

    well done st dennis
    I conducted Lockwood and was v pleased with the performance - seemed like a decent decision as well. Only downside for me was the acoustic and the immovable percussion rule - bit daft that one - please don't attempt it at St Georges hall (mind you perc won't have much to do at the area)
    Back to the acoustics - cannot anything be done to improve the sound for players, conductors and listeners alike? - this is where the venue, otherwise excellent falls down badly - Nottingham Royal Concert Hall was much better (1999)

    You're right, they did get 187.

    Yeh soz my mistake Hoover had 187 and St.Dennis had 186.
