  1. So what are the pieces tipped, hotly or otherwise, for 1st section?

Not long to wait now: World of Brass advertising the 2015 Regionals cd as being available from Saturday 20th September.
  3. ....... or look to see which pieces suddenly go up 25% in price later this week.

Heard the area piece is 11.50 mins long.

So not sure it's torchbearer. .

    Any ideas?

Torchbearer played a bit quick? I seem to remember the duration of Torchbearer is given as 12:30 in the score.

It's actually 11.30 the length of the piece.

Heard that the area committees have been given the timings but not the name of the piece.

Can't be doing too bad, got the last 4 areas pieces correct and the last 3 finals too.

Might be a band geek but that's most people on this site.

Pretty much. One tricky corner at 76 and the rest is quiet playing and trying to keep the last note in tune. Ok not all the score is on that link but i do have the study score from the nationals in 09 and its not exactly Masquerade in terms of stuff thatll take a bit of practice. :( Plenty of nice tunes in it tho and a really top piece of music :tup

You forgot to mention the big solo
for bass trom in bar 138......might need a bit of practice.

It's got to be one of the only testpieces where the bass bone is in a more sensible key than everyone else :p

Definitely more of an 'end player' kind of test. Could be worse, could be 2008 again...

Have it on good 'insider' authority it is indeed Torchbearer. Kill me now.

I've been trying to melt your frontal lobes twice a week for several years now. Is it having an anaesthetic effect yet?
