Tameside contest will soon be upon us.
Anyone know who's entered?
What a suprise, Boarshurst will be there.
Anyone know who's adjudicating?
I nominate Bariwizard...............only kidding!
Great to see that this Contest continues after the closure of the old venue, was it the Hippadrome?
We'll be there.
I think there are 6 bands in the 4th section. What's going on? Where are all these bands that took fully registered teams to the areas. 2 weeks ago? Another interesting link to the gradings thread. Shytalk, I sort of see your point. Should be a hard fought contest this one though. Some quality on show. Good luck to all.
Maybe that is the problem? Some bands could be all contested out after Butlins (I know not too many NW bands were at this one), Preston Guild and the Area in quick succession?
I agree with this. Preston before the area works as people have the chance to run the area piece. Tameside is difficult as people will be fed up of the area piece and it isnt long to get to grips with another.
Any bands going that arent playing the area pieces?
I'm keeping a close eye on the banding press for a FULL line-up. Anyone heard anything yet?
I nominate ian perks....
Nelson will be there. I believe that there are seven bands in the 4th Section. So it's an early start, it will feel even earlier with the clocks going forward!

Parr will be there in the 4th section
Oh! I forgot about the clocks....... Hope everyone remembers to alter their alarms!
Coppull & Standish will be there and not playing the area piece either.
Only 5 days to go and still no sign of a complete line-up. Can anyone help?
No list of adjudicators either, are we sure the contest is still on?
They've announced Mike Kilroy & (interestingly) Paul Andrews as adjudicators.
A couple of bands are mentioned too but not a full list (I have asked them for one, waiting to hear)
With big thanks and much love to Frank Hodges  , we have line-ups and prices...
