:tup Just like to say 'Good Luck' to all the bands competing in Youth Comps this year. Have been to RNCM, Thameside etc in the past couple of years and heard some great playing! Heard a rendition of Pie Jesu that was comparable (if not better) with Helen Williams and Alan Wycherley (sorry H & A, but it really was that good!).

Having conducted Youth Bands myself I know the hard work you all put in, and have reaped the rewards by seeing lots of happy kids who would put many an adult band to shame!

Did anyone see the youngsters at B in C this time? What a fantastic show - I'm going to make a point of going to Blackpool to see the youngsters there; I might learn a thing or two!

    Sellars win

Well done to Mark and all of the Sellars Band on todays result. A perfect start to their first overseas tour to Belgium. The Coach trip will not seem so long now.

Massive well done to Sellers Youth, amazing playing this morning. Col, not too sure about the coach trip not seeming so long, it's still seeming very long to me!

Well done everyone. Here we come Belgium!

Well done Sellers and Mark! Great performance, well deserved victory!

Well done to Carnoustie as well, another great performance! Pushed Sellers all the way, some incredible soloists. Keep up the good work.

I thought both these bands were great today! Really high standard, the futures bright.
