Who gives the most info on banding?
Nominations here please:
Can I vote for a moderator?
PeterBale gives out a lot, I think.
Nominating mods is fine!
So that is a nomination for Peter Bale
Moomindave, though we haven't heard a lot of him lately. The boy talks a lot of sense and knows his onions.
I was going to nominate Moomin as well so I`ll second that one
Can't believe no one has voted for Tom yet.
no doubt, brass neck!!
I would like to second this - Dave gives us his insight too, not just what he's read on the web or in a book. I would incloude Duncan as a similar candidate.
(There is a difference between data, information & knowledge - to slightly misquote Al Gore, "our challenge is to turn data into information, refine that information into knowledge and from that knowledge, extract wisdom)
Brass neck!..... This guy is a banding boffin for sure. Always has an articulate, qualified opinion.
Nominees so far:
Andy Wooler seems to know what he's talking about (apart from when it comes to football!)
I think we can add Mr Wooler!!! Andy, how about it, mate? (Even though your a West ham fan, i forgive you this time, lol!!
bass trumpet (Duncan Willson)
Philip Sparke (anglomusicpress) doesn't post very often, so maybe he doesn't give the "most" info. But when he posts, it is usually very insigthfull
Not quite sure how I come into this (I've obviously got a lot of people fooled!) - but for me it's got to be brassneck. A true fount of well-thought-out knowledge and enthusiasm... No-one else comes close.
I'd like to nominate BBCBass (Patrick Herak) - font of all knowledge from the US of A.
Yes, Patrick is always very informative, I would nominate these three:
If this was an award for the person who performed the most searches on the internet on behalf of the lazy people on here who don't know the meaning of the word search before they ask, then yes, Brassneck does win hands down. (and this is NOT to decry any other posts he makes btw - he is a valued contributor so no flames thank you!).
I only use search results to back up any information given. It would be less work if people searched using Google initially.
Separate names with a comma.
