wouldn't hold my breath for the North of England....they never announce early.....and wouldn't dream of going to the expense of putting two men in the box.

They always manage to announce it about a week before the contest. I don't know why considering all the other areas announce them well in advance!

I personally harbour suspicions that they're still trying to book the Dolphin Centre up to the week before and haven't even thought about adjudicators....

They'd better hurry up though, I wouldn't be surprised if most of the adjudicating fratenity is off on their summer hols to the Costa Brava by the time our area contest comes around this year!

Your right there mate, it's well late this year. Maybe if we speculate on who it might be the regional commitee might take our suggestions on board and book them. SO I'm going to suggest Steve Sykes!

Any leeks to who is adjudicating the Welsh area? I hope they've organised one otherwise we may have to get old Gwyndraeth Jones from Swansea high street.
    Is there anyone left?

I believe its Alan Morrison and David Horsfield for the Welsh Areas, not sure who is adjudicating which section. This was announced at the latest North Wales Brass Band Assciaation meeting which was held last Sunday. The letter which the Chairman read out at this meeting was dated in November. I have asked the chairman to make sure that once the adjucators are decided by the Welsh powers that be - then these are put in the public domain immediately i.e. A short press memo to 4barst or for someone to post it on the mouthpiece or follow the lead of the excellent Yorkshire Regional who post their judges names on their excellent website - why can't the welsh follow suit. I think performers have a right to know who is in the box as it may influence intrerpretation issues especially in a piece such a Festival Music
