Hmmm... assuming the regional champions so far actually want to go?

Considering the prize money that was mentioned when the first press release went and now the venue as well I'd be very surprised if any of the bands turn the opportunity down.

Should be a good day. Although I will still miss the All England Masters RIP.

It is a shame the masters has gone the way it has but hopefully this new englsih competition can be as good. Does anybody know anything about the venue, it looks great from the picture but what are the facilities like?

Not only the prize money...but isn't this going to (allegedly) be the way into the European Championships? (Although don't ask me which one ;))

Well done the BFBB for recognising the need for a true English only competition and also "tidying up" the Euro- contest qualifying procedure for English bands.
I hope they also will consider extending this contest for lower section English bands in the future.

Here Here! I also think that having a clear 'qualification' to the contest can only be a good thing, as a contest that just 'invites' bands to compete is always open to the critisism of who should and who should not be there.

Looks set to be an excellent contest... Great bands and a great venue... In fact id say it was the perfect line up to a contest... I hope the testpiece can live up to it...

Of course the ranking of several bands is likely to change after the regionals, I suppose? So don't despair yet! ;)

You'll have to hope 4th in the West is enough to make up 6th in the Midlands (without getting passed by Flowers)
