I've got a tape of a very similar version that was broadcast on the BBC a few years back, read I think by Penelope Keith. The main difference, however, is that the radio version takes into account the cumulative effect as well, ie by the end of the 12 days there would be 12 partridges in pear trees, 11 x 2 turtle doves, 10 x 3 french hens etc.

I've also got a recording of that. The only thing is, mine is by Jimmy Jones and would NOT have been broadcast by the BBC :twisted: :wink:
