Rebecca Battye
I started playing the trombone at the age of 15 and I have never looked back, this is my only instrument and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I started with my high school swing band, then moved to Colne Valley High School Senior Wind band and loved it.During my time at home in sunny Huddersfield I played with two brass bands these being the Kirklees Youth Brass Band and Sellers International Youth Brass Band and both of them I love to bits. By the time I was 18 I had done my grade 8 which without the help of my instrument teacher Denise Dransfield I would not have passed cheers chuck. Manchester Metropolitan University studying Music and Drama. I am now working towards my diploma in performance, and have joined Barnton Silver Band which I enjoy.
