Applied for membership to Barnton Silver Band in 1956. Tenor horn.
After a two year break for National Service 1957-59 rejoined the band. In addition to Barnton Silver Band have played as a huest player on occasions with:- I.C.I. Alkali (as an employee), Middlewich (now Roberts), Moulton and Preston Bridge Bands. (was single then)
Other instruments played - euphonium and baritone.
Have held admin positions with Barnton as Secretary-Treasurer.
I have in my home all band records for Banrton Silver Band a,most to its foundation in 1891.
Note: Band had a short break due to lack of premises and reformed at the Barnton Royal British Legion in 1969.
